TheFutureEmbrace (2005)

Details Release Date: Jun 21, 2005; Lead Performance: Billy Corgan; Genre: Rock

With the Smashing Pumpkins mashed and the ill-fated Zwan gone, the whiny grown-up Goth in Billy Corgan prevails on his first solo album, TheFutureEmbrace. The Cure's Robert Smith assists him in leeching all the blood (and melody) from the Bee Gees' ''To Love Somebody,'' while flim-flammy beats, tinny guitars, and Corgan's nasal moan predominate as he mopes like it's 1984 and his mom forgot to renew his Sisters of Mercy fan-club membership. Should come packaged with trench coat and mascara.
