Mickey Rourke

''Sin City'' revitalized the actor's career, and he'll play a similar role in ''Domino'' as a bounty hunter

Age 48

Mustworthiness Once heralded as the second coming of Robert De Niro (see Diner, Barfly, Angel Heart), Rourke flamed out in a blaze of bad film choices (9 1/2 Weeks, okay — but Another 9 1/2 Weeks?) and even worse offscreen behavior. Now, following his magnetic turn as a tortured brute in Sin City, the battered but unbowed actor is finally getting a shot at redemption.

Did Someone Mention Sin? ''The Mickey Rourke Show didn't really work the last time around. I was a one-man wrecking crew. All I wanted to do was raise hell. But you pay for all that, and I have.''

On His Must List Bob Dylan's memoir, Chronicles: Volume One. ''Bob's a friend of mine, as much as Bob can be a friend. He doesn't talk a lot.''

Next Rourke plays a grizzled bounty hunter in Tony Scott's actioner Domino, in theaters this fall.
