Steve Jones

The ex-Sex Pistols guitarist is radio's coolest DJ thanks to Indie 103.1

Age 49

Mustworthiness For getting away with another great rock & roll swindle: In just over a year, the ex-Sex Pistols guitarist has gone from punk-rock relic to world's coolest DJ, thanks to Jonesy's Jukebox, the brash Brit's radio show on L.A.'s Indie 103.1.

Thinking Inside the 'Jukebox' Jones thrills listeners with a rowdy mix of handpicked alterna-rock, deliciously obscure '80s gems, and hilariously unslick interviews with A-listers (recent highlights: asking Marianne Faithfull if Mick Jagger is cheap and hitting up Adam Sandler for love advice). ''People like my show because I play what I want,'' says Jones. ''Musicians like my show because I don't ask them bulls--- questions.''

On His Must List ''Prince. I would love to have him on the show.''

Anarchy in the 401(k) ''This is the first real job I've ever had, except for about two weeks when I was 15. I have no idea what I'm doing, but nobody seems to mind.''

Next Talk of syndication, a satellite-radio spin-off, and his own TV show with King of the Hill's Mike Judge.
