The martial-arts expert thrilled audiences in ''Ong-Bak''

Mustworthiness Fiercely bulleting his way (without special effects or wires) through this year's thrilling martial-arts film Ong-Bak, the former stuntman is poised to become Thailand's answer to Jet Li. That's right: Thailand!

Elephant Walk ''When I was growing up,'' the non-English-speaking Jaa says through a translator, ''I loved watching martial-arts films and would train on my parents' elephants — jumping from them, doing somersaults on them.''

Word on the Street Jaa's acting debut is such a hit with the urban set that ''Ong-Bak'' is being used as slang for kicking butt.
