Let's talk about 'same sex,' baby

MONDAY

JUNE 27

8-9:30PM Same Sex America (Showtime, TV-14) The personal is rarely more political than in the 2004 fight to ban same-sex marriage in Massachusetts, as the seven gay engaged couples in this doc can attest. While the film ends on a sweet note, it won't let you get the sounds of protest out of your head. B+ —Charles Curtis

SEASON PREMIERE NOON-1PM Go Ahead, Make My Dinner (Discovery) Two professional chefs compete to make quick dinners with minimal ingredients. Then an amateur will attempt to re-create the winning recipe at home. With episode titles like ''Matt vs. Sue: Beef Tenderloin'' and ''Michael vs. Matt: Tri-Color Fusilli,'' it sounds like high drama, kids.

5-6PM All Access: Celebrity Weddings 2005 (VH1) The insider's look at the nuptials of famous people that ordinary folks like us can only dream of. Among the grooms and brides are Kevin Costner, Nas, John O'Hurley, and Star Jones. At the rate they're going, maybe TomKat will be added to the lineup by airtime.

8PM-12:30AM TV Land's Movie of the Week Week (TV Land) The channel that brings you your daily dose of reruns has scheduled an entire week of classic TV movies, starting tonight with 1974's football weeper Brian's Song at 8 p.m. and 1981's Mickey Rooney vehicle Bill at 10. One gripe, though: where's Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?

10-10:30PM Road Rules/Real World Challenge (MTV) It's the reunion special we've all been waiting for, maybe because there was not a bit of romance on this season's RR/RW. From the previews, it actually sounds like something sexy will be revealed. Thanks for editing the best parts out, MTV!
