 \'GREETINGS\' Illinois\' Stevens
'GREETINGS' Illinois' Stevens

After tackling his home turf with 2003's Greetings From Michigan, the seraphic, banjo-loving pop-folkie has moved on to the Land of Lincoln, which he memorializes in finespun songs variously inspired by Carl Sandburg, John Wayne Gacy Jr., and the ''Seer's'' tower. Thanks to Stevens' penchant for illustrative instruments like glockenspiel, flute, and sleigh bells, his Illinois sounds quaint and even magical. Can't wait to see what he does with Texas.
