How do you like them apples? For Hollywood set decorators, that would be green and artfully arranged. Though the green apple still life is now as clichéd as faux Monets (Ian Schrager used them in his hotel lobbies years ago), the design statement has popped up in no fewer than four movies this year, three of them (Stealth, The Island, and Bewitched) in the last month (January's Hide and Seekalso showcased the photogenic fruit). ''On screen, or any world you look at visually,'' explains design guru David Tutera, ''they provide an image that's very crisp, clear, and focused.'' More like overexposed.
