Talking with Laura Benati -- The star of ''Starved'' talks Antonio Banderas, eighties pop, and her new husband

In FX's Starved (Thursdays, 10 p.m.), Laura Benanti plays an anorexic-bulimic singer who's fixated on body fat, laxatives, and casual sex. Off screen, the Tony-nominated actress (Swing!, Into the Woods) indulges in healthier obsessions.

The Spin Doctors, whose frontman, Chris Barron, Benanti wed just weeks ago Not to be like crazy TomKat, but I totally had a crush on Chris. In ''Two Princes,'' you know that line ''Marry him or marry me''? My friend Coco was like, ''He wants to marry her, he doesn't want to just have sex with her. That's so cool! He's a poet!'' I remember thinking, I would like to marry somebody like that.

Antonio Banderas, her costar in both Broadway's Nine and the just-filmed Take the Lead He is the funniest, sweetest man in the world, and I'm not just saying that so he'll work with me again.

Eighties pop, which she'll be crooning in 2006's The Wedding Singer stage musical I was totally into Debbie Gibson and Madonna. But I was really into hair bands because I'm from New Jersey. Me and my sister totally rock out to Bon Jovi in the car.
