C
After an encouraging venture into Delta blues, guitar deity Eric Clapton has parked himself back at dead center. Back Home, an overblown and underwhelming batch of MOR gruel, has all of the risible features of Clapton's light rock Phil Collins-esque horn arrangements, plonky pianos, and pinhead love songs. That Cream reunion apparently didn't light a fire under his aspirations; instead, we're left with music as hard-hitting as a down comforter.
