Upon being forced to join the academy, bad-boy reluctant recruit Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg) flirts with a fellow cadet (Kim Cattrall) and leads his fellow misfits to torture their uptight superior, Harris (G.W. Bailey).

POLICE ACADEMY 2: THEIR FIRST ASSIGNMENT (1985)
While battling a gang of punks terrorizing the city, Tackleberry flirts with a fellow cop (Colleen Camp), and Mahoney leads his fellow misfits against their uptight new superior, Mauser (Art Metrano).

POLICE ACADEMY 3: BACK IN TRAINING (1986)
While training new recruits, Mahoney flirts with a cadet (Shawn Weatherly) and leads his fellow misfit officers against Mauser, who, still uptight but no longer their superior, now wants to close their academy.

POLICE ACADEMY 4: CITIZENS ON PATROL (1987)
While organizing a neighborhood citizen-watch program, Mahoney flirts with a reporter (Sharon Stone) and nostalgically leads his fellow misfit officers against their original uptight superior, Harris.

POLICE ACADEMY 5: ASSIGNMENT MIAMI BEACH (1988)
With the commandant kidnapped in Florida, and Mahoney gone, Lassard's nephew (Matt McCoy) heads the rescue, inheriting misfit-leading and uptight-Harris-mocking duties.

POLICE ACADEMY 6: CITY UNDER SIEGE (1989)
A criminal mastermind torments the city with a wave of robberies. Misfit officers are at this point self-leading, though no one flirts, freeing up time to torment the uptight Harris.

POLICE ACADEMY: MISSION TO MOSCOW (1994)
A whittled-down team of misfits — Jones, Tackleberry, Callahan, Lassard — bring their buffoonery to Russia, where their counterpart cops speak the international language: tormenting the uptight Harris.
