Boston Legal
(ABC) 10-11 PM Starts Sept. 27It's still in Beantown, and it's still about lawyers, but nearly everything else on Boston Legal is different. Change started when Grey's Anatomy parked in Legal's spot and stayed for the season. ''[ABC] assured me that would never happen and...that was the first telltale that it was about to,'' recalls creator David E. Kelley, who was forced to hold two episodes guest-starring Heather Locklear. A Locklear story arc would have dovetailed nicely with Legal's lead-in, Desperate Housewives, but then the network booted Kelley's show to Tuesday. ''That was precious real estate, Sunday at 10, and we were sad to lose it,'' he says. ''But we'll make the best go we can on Tuesday.'' The good news: Season 2's cast shuffles (Monica Potter and Rhona Mitra out, Ed's Julie Bowen in) and compelling story lines (Denny Crane, Alzheimer's patient?) could get viewers to move with Legal one change Kelley probably wouldn't mind.
