''Sixteen Candles''' Farmer Ted capitalizes on the '80s revival

''The Facts of Life,'' pouf skirts...and Anthony Michael Hall? Yes, the '80s revival is upon us, and the former Brat Pack geek best known for acquiring Molly Ringwald's underpants is back -- and busy. He just appeared in ''Freddy Got Fingered,'' ''The Caveman's Valentine,'' and as Whitey Ford in Billy Crystal's HBO film ''61*.'' He'll soon turn up in ''All About the Benjamins'' with Ice Cube, VH1's Def Leppard biopic ''Hysteria,'' and the UPN pilot ''The Dead Zone'' (in the Christopher Walken role).

''I'm just firing on all cylinders,'' says Hall, who's also shopping for a label for an album he recorded. But having fallen out of fashion once, the actor doesn't intend for history to repeat itself. ''The people I most admire aren't the flavor of the month,'' he says. ''They're the people...who have reinvented themselves. And I intend to be around for the long haul, pun intended.''
