Listening to Switchfoot's fifth studio album, Nothing Is Sound, it's abundantly clear that what we have here is an eminently sound — as in, solid, firm, stable — piece of work. Their danger-free music seems the very definition of corporate rock. We'd call 'em the modern-day corollary to Styx, but we don't want to insult the latter band.
