Alan Cumming revealed the commercial for his cologne Cumming on www.cummingthefragrance.com, and it made us, well, uncomfortable. The star of X-Men 2 strolls around in various states of undress, cavorts with a nonplussed-looking dog, and discusses his ''manly'' scent, which, unbelievably, is a best- selling men's fragrance on sephora.com (price: $69).

''I think it's important to know how to have fun, and I think it's fun to know what's important,'' he riffs. Okay, Alan, here's what we think is important: underwear. Wandering around your loft naked with your dog is neither sanitary nor seductive. And anyone who appeared in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas should know better than to admonish people that ''shame's not sexy.'' Grade: D
