LEGACY He saved the world by talking into a shoe. And made us laugh. Get Smart's Don Adams, 82, who won three Emmys for the '60s spy spoof, passed away Sept. 25 of a lung infection in L.A. Adams also lent his distinctively ''clippy'' voice to cartoon characters like the salty penguin Tennessee Tuxedo and the Smart-esque Inspector Gadget, but he'll always be loved for the brilliantly bumbled antics of Agent 86.
