He's 'Report'-ing for you
The Colbert Report: Joel Jeffries

MONDAY

OCTOBER 31

11:30PM-MIDNIGHT The Colbert Report (Comedy Central, TV-PG) Former Daily Show correspondent Stephen Colbert is like Bill O'Reilly, but with less loofah, more laughs. So it's a treat to see his oddly moral, occasionally informative, absurd news show backing up Jon Stewart's broadcast. From ''gravitas-offs'' with NBC anchor Stone Phillips to a succinct summary of the latest trial of the century (Saddam trial = Oscars + testicle shocking), Colbert proves that the line between serious TV journalism and utter nonsense is a very thin one indeed. B+ — Gilbert Cruz

MARATHON ALERT!
9AM-10:30PM Mad Mad House (Fox Reality) Ten episodes of a living-with-witches reality show you've never even heard of. Spooooky!

9-10PM Race to the Moon (PBS, TV-PG) Find out why Apollo 8 was the redheaded stepchild of space missions. *check local listings

SYNDICATED Geraldo at Large Spot the factual errors: ''News legend Geraldo Rivera makes his eagerly anticipated return.''

9-10PM Prison Break (Fox, TV-14-DLSV) When T-Bag discovers his love slave just isn't that into him, does he cry, ladies? Mope? Stalk him at the showers? No. He picks himself up and finds someone else to terrorize.

9-11PM The Scorned (E!) Just in time for Halloween, it's the debut of the Kill Reality movie. Wait — does that mean there won’t be any of the backstabbing, hook-ups, and general insanity we witnessed on the series? Don't worry: E! is airing the final episode of Reality at 8. Oh, happy day.

10-11PM Ghost Hunters Halloween Special (Sci Fi Channel, TV-PG-L) Trolling Savannah cemeteries for ghosts (who haven't already been spooked by tourists).
