Singer Raymond Raposa dips from creaky country-gothic to jittery free-form jazz and fuzz-rock spasms in a smeary, hypnotic haze with First Light's Freeze. At times, the leap through the looking glass feels almost like an invasion of his privacy — then again, it's hard to refuse the invitation.
