Could Beavis and Butt-head ever be revived as a series, or as another movie?
I considered doing a movie at one point. It's still possible. I look at how long the Three Stooges kept it going. Or Cheech and Chong. I got to know Cheech Marin, and I read a treatment two years ago they had worked on for another Cheech and Chong movie. It was just really funny and I thought, ''Wow, I guess you can still do it.'' We're doing this TV special [Beavis and Butt-head's Decade of Power, a mock infomercial hosted by Billy Dee Williams, currently airing on MTV and MTV2], and I'm just going to see how it feels.
How many times per day do people ask you to record their voice-mail greetings in the voices of Beavis and Butt-head?
I've done a bunch. I've actually called people and forgot that I did a message for them and I get my own voice on the outgoing message. That's one way to know you've made it. Or when they make a porn knockoff of something you've done. In that case, I've made it at least twice.
Do you ever lapse into their voices while you're just hanging around the house?
I almost never do Beavis and Butt-head in my spare time, but to be completely honest, there's been a couple times in my car where I've gone into it. I think it may have been Butt-head saying he wanted to change his name to Butt-Diddy.
Who rules more — Beavis or Butt-head?
Butt-head had an early lead, but I'd have to give it to Beavis now. Maybe just because I like doing that voice more, whereas I didn't as much in the beginning.
Why should we allow the youth of today to be corrupted by these bad boys?
The crime rate went down in the country all the years Beavis and Butt-head was on. Now I hear that it's on the rise, so I'm just doing my civic duty by putting it back out there.
