With an underground Houston rhyme swatter going mainstream every hour, all those slurred flows and rattling thumps can quickly turn into an unwieldy haze. Chamillionaire sticks out with lyrics that offer more than annoying self-promotion (ahem, Mike Jones) and candy-painted Cadillac worship, along with a swift, crooning style reminiscent of Southern brothers to the east OutKast. Too bad his considerable skills on the mic are critically undercut by The Sound of Revenge's tinny, dollar-bin beats.
