8 KIRSTEN VANGSNESS

Age 33 Role/Show Garcia on CBS' Criminal Minds You might remember her from LAX She's a scene-stealer because Vangsness gets about 30 seconds an episode to leave an impression — Garcia, the departmental hacker in the FBI's anti-psycho unit, is only a recurring character — but she makes the most of it. Given how Garcia tries to out-Alpha Girl agent Greenway (Lola Glaudini), while keeping rookie Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) in check, you'd almost think she was the boss. Best moment Any time she and Shemar Moore are in the same frame. Their heavy flirtation not only has genuine chemistry but provides a little levity in an otherwise dry cat-and-mouse procedural.

9 EDDIE STEEPLES

Age 32 Role/Show Darnell, a.k.a. Crab Man, on NBC's My Name Is Earl You might remember him from Office Max's ''Rubberband Man'' commercials; Torque He's a scene-stealer because Until recently, we weren't sure Crab Man could say much more than ''Hey, Earl,'' but Steeples holds his own in a first-rate ensemble (a real accomplishment, what with Jason Lee and Jaime Pressly proving such delicious cutups as Earl and Joy). Crab Man is the Ashton to Earl's Bruce — sweet and congenial, always with a friendly word for the man whose cheating, scheming wife he stole. Best moment The flip-out at the Fun Zone when Earl confessed that he and Joy had ex-sex while planning her black-and-white-trash wedding.

10 KYLE SULLIVAN

Age 17 Role/Show Larry on Fox's The War at Home You might remember him from Tuesdays With Morrie; All That He's a scene-stealer because This one's a bit of a gimme, because Sullivan may, in fact, be the only reason to wage War. He's a charmer as the sexually misunderstood Larry (hey, can't a kid just like musical theater?!), tapping into the gold mine of humor that is middle-child angst. He also makes what's old seem new again, getting fresh laughs from a homely-girlfriend story line that we swear we've already seen on Arrested Development. Best moment Larry is at his best with buddy Kenny (Rami Malek, who almost stole this scene-stealer spot from Sullivan), especially when Larry phoned Kenny for moral support — from his bathtub — because dad Dave (Michael Rapaport) thought he was gay.
