San Diego quintet Tristeza falls into the no-solos school of instrumental rock, creating a drowsy Sunday- afternoon soundtrack out of a complex counterpoint of chiming guitars, gossamer synthesizers, and fluid, jazzlike drumming. The general interchangeability of A Colores works for and against Tristeza the songs slip in one ear and out the other without leaving much of an impression, but you'll be too blissed-out to care.
