There's Something About Remy: Based on a True Story (2006)

Forget the Farrelly brothers-inspired title — Bronx bombshell Remy Ma takes her hip-hop seriously. Following up an appearance on the lazy-man smash ''Lean Back,'' Remy tries to puncture rap's male-dominated bubble with There's Something About Remy: Based on a True Story, but often just reverses the same thoughtless gender discrimination that plagues many of her macho counterparts. Even so, the agonizing abortion confessional ''What's Going On'' shows she has the guts to retain her femininity while hanging out with the guys.
