A reluctant shoe-factory heir (Joel Edgerton) enlists the help of headstrong drag queen Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to save his father's foundering legacy. Meanwhile, Lola (née Simon) deals with her own daddy issues. ''Simon's father wanted to invest in his son these masculine qualities — directness, strength,'' says Ejiofor. ''And the only way he achieves that is as Lola.'' Directed by Julian Jarrold. (April 14)
