Star Wars: Attack of the Memoirs

Tracking last fall's celebrity memoirs -- We compare Alan Alda, 50 Cent and others to the success of Billy Crystal's ''700 Sundays''

Compared with last fall's other celebrity memoirists, Billy Crystal looks downright mahvelous. According to Nielsen BookScan, which tracks sales at 7,000-plus outlets nationwide, 700 Sundays sold 174,000 copies through Jan. 22. Still, he was summarily schooled by Frank McCourt, whose Teacher Man has moved 454,000 copies.
