Congotronics 2 (2006)

Congotronics 2 is a compilation of neo-traditional bands from Kinshasa in Congo that use homemade equipment to produce distorted, driving percussion jams. By Western measures, the bizarre timbres constitute an accidental avant-garde; by any measure, they rock. This is more diverse than the series debut featuring ''Konono N°1'' (also featured here), adding plinking guitars to the thumb pianos. Plus, the DVD will give you an arsenal of new dance moves.
