After three women show up at a Baltimore hospital with a frightening, unknown virus, the CDC sends in Dr. Nate McCormick. The inquiry runs him smack against two former lovers.
In a former life... McCormick was a high-flying research student — until a data fabrication scandal laid him low.
Bottom Line Spanogle's debut combines a wonderfully flawed yet stereotypically smart-ass hero with a plot that moves as rapidly as a lethal virus.
