Imagine a creepy-crawly musical menage a trois between the Scissor Sisters, Jamiroquai, and rock-ravers Chk Chk Chk — voiced with all the whiny intensity of Linkin Park's Chester Bennington — and you might begin to comprehend the disco-punk diarrhea of this L.A. outfit (cofounded by ex-Glassjaw guitarist Todd Weinstock). While the group's fearless embrace of sugary pop hooks and quirky synth production is comendable on Men, Women, & Children, their overreaching ambitions produce a most horrendous cacophony of derivative camp.
