Married Mates of State-ers Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel may be groupie-unfriendly (we assume), but musically they couldn't be more joyously welcoming. Indeed, on their fourth LP, Bring it Back, they can sound like a downsized version of the dementedly upbeat Polyphonic Spree. But they also make imaginative use of their spartan keyboards/drums/ vocals lineup with ''So Many Ways,'' ''For the Actor,'' and ''Fraud in the '80s'' all re-proving the White Stripes' less-is-more point.
