Can one album foreshadow the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and the career of Moby? Maybe not, but My Life in the Bush of Ghosts comes close. In 1981, Brian Eno, the avant-garde studio whiz, and David Byrne, the Talking Heads frontman, created this revolutionary set of sound collages mixing Third World beats and snippets of Muslims chanting the Koran, even a preacher performing an exorcism. Despite seven unessential bonus tracks, the remastered Ghostsfeels haunting, hypnotic, and fresh 25 years later.
