Lead Performance: Rihanna
B+
The Barbadian babe's first hit was effervescent dancehall lite (''Pon de Replay''), but Rihanna's ''SOS'' is an unexpected swerve a ''Tainted Love''-sampling electro cut that dips into strobe-flashing rave territory. The track still shares some important traits with its predecessor: It's sweet, addictive, and as buoyant as Marshmallow Fluff.
