Nick Carter, the former Def Jux MC known as Murs, may share his name with the Backstreet Boy heartthrob, but that's about all the two have in common. Anchored by Little Brother producer 9th Wonder's soulful beats, the widely overlooked L.A. rapper's sixth disc, Murray's Revenge is a cohesive mix of songs about urban blight (''Dreamchasers''), relationships (''Sillygirl''), and contemporary hip-hop culture, ''D.S.W.G. (Dark Skinned White Girls).'' With only 10 tracks that amount to a total of less than 45 minutes, this gem leaves you wanting more.
