A spokesperson for Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has confirmed to EW that she and her husband, co-executive producer Daniel Palladino, will leave Gilmore Girls at the end of this season. They expressed regret that they were not able to reach an agreement with the management of the new CW network to return for another season.

The cast of Gilmore Girls is contractually committed for one more season, and it is expected that the series, now shown on The WB, will continue on The CW.
