Pellicano Scandal Watch On May 8, a court document about Hollywood PI Anthony Pellicano was released, consisting of 18 pages of snoozy legalese. That is, until you get to the part where the feds claim Pellicano is playing games to delay court proceedings. Why lollygag? Oh, only because they purport to have evidence that Pellicano placed a prison hit on fellow PI Alexander Proctor. (Says Pellicano's lawyer: ''It's one thing to say it; it's another to prove it.'') Years ago, Pellicano allegedly hired Proctor to taunt L.A. Times reporter Anita Busch — and Proctor is a witness now that the government has tapes of him allegedly describing the work he did for Pellicano. Watching this story unfold is more tantalizing than a whole season of The Sopranos.
