Saving Shiloh is like one of those wholesome, old-fashioned films that you used to watch with your third-grade classmates during visits to the library. I didn't even know they still made these kinds of movies! This one's a good-natured surprise. It follows a cute little beagle and his boy master Marty (Jason Dolley) as they aid in the capture of two escaped convicts, take part in a daring river rescue, and help the local loon (Scott Wilson) rehabilitate his image. The best part: when Shiloh woofs at a prowler in the yard and Marty goes, ''What is it, boy?'' That line is timeless.
