''I can guarantee/Things are sweeter in Tennessee,'' sings Grammy-winning pop star Michelle Branch and her fellow Wrecker, singer-songwriter and longtime friend Jessica Harp, at one point on their debut collaboration, Stand Still, Look Pretty. But in truth, things don't get much sweeter than this collection of twangy laments. Lyrically, tracks such as ''Leave the Pieces'' and ''Cigarettes'' are full of heartbreak but the tunes and performances are so pretty and slickly produced that it's easy to ignore the assorted relationship turmoils being ruminated upon. Great country needs the grit that is missing here, although mid-tempo honky-tonker ''My, Oh My'' does give off a satisfying stale-beer smell.
