When All That's Left Is You (2006)

Details Release Date: May 30, 2006; Lead Performance: Quietdrive; Genre: Rock

Adolescent mall punks will find plenty of pogo-ready material on Quietdrive's debut. Produced by Butch Walker (Avril, Pink), the Minneapolis quintet's When all That's Left is You has all the hallmarks of slick, major-label emo: acrobatic guitar riffs (''Maybe Misery''), hook-laden breakup songs (''Get Up''), plus a Red Bull-fueled cover of Cyndi Lauper's ''Time After Time'' that should make great radio bait. Unfortunately, most of the lyrics are self-pitying diary entries about being ''broken, bruised, and numb.'' Reliable and well made, but awfully unoriginal.
