9-10PM
Everwood (The WB)
This series knows how to make an exit. This second-to-last episode has a death, a secret, an imminent marriage proposal, someone moving away, Amy reconsidering her relationship with Ephram (Gregory Smith, left with Treat Williams and Vivien Cardone), and a heart-to-heart between Dr. Brown and his estranged father. Wow. Sorry to see you go, Everwood, but The CW wasn’t the place for you. You have class. You have dignity…
9-9:30PM
Girlfriends (UPN, TV-PG-L)
...and those things obviously count for nothing. (R)
8-10PM
Women of Sex and the City: The E! True Hollywood Story (E!, TV-PG)
Kim Cattrall wasn't the first Samantha! Which means somewhere there's a
chick version of the fifth Beatle.
8-10PM
2 Fast 2 Furious (Fox, TV-PG-DLV)
2 bad Vin was 2 cocky 2 come back.
8-10PM
SuperCoasters (National Geographic, TV-G)
Riding a roller coaster is ''the neurochemical equivalent of wetting your
pants.'' Whatev. I'm holding out for the neurochemical equivalent of
vomiting on my own shoes and slapping myself. Or the next season of The
O.C. whichever comes first.
9-10:30PM
Secret Smile (BBC America, TV-14)
A stalkee flips the script on her stalker.
9-10:30PM
Wanderlust (IFC, TV-MA-LV)
Nothing like a road trip! Except maybe a documentary on movies about
road trips. That's sorta close.
9:01-10PM
The Apprentice (NBC, TV-PG-L)
Between the egos, the silly whims, and the ''stars'' who aren't as famous
as they think they are, these celeb charity events really are good
training to work for The Donald.
SEASON PREMIERE
10-11PM
The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat (MTV, TV-14)
All together now: At least the meat is fresh.
7-9PM
Karate Dog (ABC Family, TV-PG-DV)
I thought I had seen it all when I reviewed Judd Nelson in Cybermutt.
But now comes Chevy Chase as the voice of...Karate Dog! Karate Dog is
out to avenge the murder of his master (the late Pat Morita), but he'll
need the help of cops Simon Rex and My Name Is Earl's Jaime Pressly to
do it. All these actors get off easy, though. Poor Jon Voight at one
point literally enters himself into a dog race and then engages the
Karate Dog in an epic kung fu battle. In the end, nobody's a winner. D+ Dalton Ross
