Despite all the embarrassing chug chants and sophomoric insights (''You know, it's weird being dead'') in his college-set thriller, credit Will Clarke for a cool premise: A Louisiana frat boy is killed in an extreme hazing episode, then returns from the dead hell-bent on punishing his murderer by possessing a new pledge. But that's about as inventive as this frat-house ''ghost story'' gets. Spectral possession resembles ''sitting on a public toilet seat,'' while pop-culture references (Eminem, The Real World, ''crazy Martha Stewart'') pass as character development. The Worthy aims to be an R.L. Stine-meets-I Am Charlotte Simmons study, but just ends up with kinda spooky schlock for jocks.
