''I'm a wreck, I'm a parody,'' sobs Brosnan's Julian Noble in The Matador. That pretty much nails his portrayal of a hitman having a midlife crisis and pulling a white-collar dweeb (Greg Kinnear) along. Some decent shaggy-dog laughs in this thriller-farce whatsit. EXTRAS DVD commentary may have been invented for director Richard Shepard. He gets two audio tracks (in one, he tries to keep a lid on his playful stars), talks over deleted scenes, and is quizzed in two radio interviews. The brief making-of, by contrast, consists of the cast blowing smoke up each other's publicists.
