Bjork, Iceland's most riveting pop export is still very much alive and relevant, so this remastered retrospective which collects her astounding five studio albums, two soundtracks, and 26 videos on seven dual discs seems somewhat premature. Still, fanatics will discover previously hidden wonders within the new surround-sound mixes; labyrinthine highlights Vespertine (2001) and Medúlla (2004) work particularly well across six speakers. As a luxurious treat for obsessives, Surrounded successfully revitalizes some of the most ambitious pop music of the last 13 years.
