Someone is killing guys and hiding their bodies in wintry Minneapolis: dead snowmen, as it were. Police detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth, along with the computer-geek women who call themselves the Monkee-wrench Gang, are stumped but implacable. The cops do the shoe-leather investigating; the Monkees surf chat sites for clues. The mother-daughter team of Patricia J. and Traci Lambrecht, who write this genial series, crack wise jokes (Gino snickers about another cop, ''She's probably at home right now watching reruns of NYPD Blue trying to figure out what...she's supposed to do next''), and the authors have another icicle-sharp plot in Snow Blind.
