Months after surviving a gay bashing, Andy Green leads a hermetic life in NYC. He works from home (until he's fired), eats delivery (his home reeks), and seldom sees visitors. He rejoins society after receiving a cryptic package: a note and news clippings from his ex-boyfriend, who broke up with him via Post-it note and then disappeared. Robert Westfield wryly paints a series of seemingly unrelated events against a post-9/11 backdrop. Rife with eccentric characters like Green's generally apoplectic friend Sonia, Suspension hits upon a paradoxical truth: Our lives can seem both random yet strangely interconnected.
