Since you couldn't live with your two favorites, what was it like in the women's apartment?
My apartment was with Bonnie and Uli. They're both great. We had the really relaxed room. Laura and Angela were in the other room. They had a lot more drama on that side.

I need to see that footage. Last week your partner, Malan, went home. How hard was it working with someone whose style seemed to be so different from yours?
Malan and I worked really well together. I have to give myself credit for that. I have been working at Target for the past three years. In that situation you don't do any design without having a hundred people okay it. You have artsy designers and statistical-minded buyers and executives who look at something you've worked on for months and say, ''Eh, I don't like green.'' You have to approach it professionally. That's what I did with him. From the beginning I said, ''This is your design, your vision. We're going to make it as great as we can.''

And yet, it didn't turn out so great. Still, I think he was prematurely sent home. I would have loved to see his doggie design.
I don't think Malan should have gone home either. I thought the challenge was about two factors: a great pageant dress for Tara and teamwork. I assume that's what a team challenge is. I didn't really like Vincent and Angela's dress. I do think Malan's and my dress was in the bottom, but if you put it side by side with Vincent and Angela's dress? He should have gotten a lot more credit for working as a team leader with me. We got along great the entire time. He has a lot more potential than a couple of other people left.

Then do you wonder what on earth the judges are basing their decisions on? Do you think it's a matter of keeping people on TV who make good villains?
I honestly can't say what they're basing it on. Yes, it's TV, and there's always that aspect of who's interesting to watch. If it wasn't interesting enough to watch, then I wasn't interesting to watch. How they edited was how they edited. They didn't show the goofy things I did, like dancing around. But I'd much rather go out on the third challenge and be remembered for being a designer rather than go out at the end and be remembered as a character. I have no regrets. I was who I am. I wouldn't redesign my dress.

Even the hem?
The dress was supposed to have a tiered hem. It had three different colors of green. The way to finish it is to surge the edge with an overlock stitch. On camera it looked worse than it did in real life. It wasn't uneven. It was finished the best we could with the type of machines we had. But I'm not going to say my hem wasn't finished.

You're only 25. Was being the youngest player a disadvantage?
I don't think so. If anything hurt me, it was the fact that I have a very different point of view on fashion. I could have lasted a lot longer if I focused on making really pretty party dresses. My style is a lot sportier than that. I am who I am.

Will you be designing for Target anytime soon?
I've been talking to them and have kept in contact. They've been coming to the viewings. It seems like a really great time in my life to move on and do something different, like, Am I interested in expanding my line? Target was a fantastic job, though, and gave me a great view into this industry.

Any thoughts of selling your clothes Kara Janx-style on your website?
I'm right now looking into doing some sales on my website. I don't know if technically that's feasible. I've had a lot of people say if I would re-create the dress from last night in their size they would buy it. I think you could walk down any street in that and enjoy it. I don't want people to wear my stuff and get pointed at and laughed at.

The preview scenes for next week were quite exciting. What can you say without Bravo suing you for $5 million?
I do know some of the stuff that's going on, but it's more exciting to watch it. I don't know exactly how it's all going to play out, but it's going to be a good one. You won't want to miss it.
