How to follow Garden State was the question facing Zach Braff until he took the lead in this film about a young man's struggle with commitment as he enters his 30s. Michael (Braff) knows his girlfriend (Jacinda Barrett) is ''the one,'' but he's tempted by a flirtatious beauty (Rachel Bilson). Standard story? Sure. But Michael's girlfriend is pregnant. ''I'm amazed that a studio actually made this movie because it has a very indie sensibility,'' says Braff, who signed on only after being promised that the unresolved script from Crash director Paul Haggis would not be altered. ''It's one of those movies that starts a conversation, which I love.''
