BUSS STOPPERS Thomas and Stiles (''Save the Last Dance'') won a coveted golden popcorn sculpture for Best Kiss
Clairvoyance might have helped a humble Julia Stiles, who was backstage voicing gloom about her award prospects. ''I don't have a chance,'' said the perky 20-year-old. While she lost Best Actress honors to ''Erin Brockovich'''s Julia Roberts, she and ''Save the Last Dance'' costar Sean Patrick Thomas scored in the only-at-MTV category Best Kiss, licking the likes of Tom Hanks and Wilson the volleyball in ''Cast Away.'' The trophy was nice, but Thomas seemed more interested in stargazing. ''I'm seeing a whole lot of people I'd like to meet,'' he said. ''Mya and Beyoncé, I am available!''
