A super-peppy and glammed-up Lindsay Lohan (what a stretch, right?) stars in a tailor-made role: Ashley, the luckiest girl in the world. For her, luck is having rainy days suddenly turn sunny and is measured by pay-offs from scratch-off lottery tickets. Predictably, fortune slaps her big-time, as Ashley unknowingly passes her luck to a cursed band manager, Jake (Chris Pine), through a kiss. Billed as Lohan's first bow in an adult role, the madcap situations in Just My Luck a flooded apartment, broken mirrors, a freshly painted bench result instead in a teenybopper slapstick comedy.
EXTRAS Include an unsatisfyingly brief featurette with the costume designer and screenwriters about creating the actors' looks, and three marginally funny deleted scenes. Meanwhile, a longer segment on McFly, the British teen rock band featured in the film, goes behind-the-scenes to show how director Donald Petrie manipulated the rabid fans during filming.
