LOGUE (FAR LEFT) AND HIS CREW
The Knights Of Prosperity: ERIC LIEBOWITZ

Concept Janitor Eugene Gurkin (Grounded for Life's Donal Logue) gathers a band of blue-collar misfits to rob Mick Jagger's New York penthouse.

The Scoop The series was originally titled Let's Rob Jeff Goldblum. Reasons co-creator Rob Burnett (Ed), ''It just seemed funny that you would rob Jeff. Why Jeff? It's ridiculous.'' It was ultimately switched to Jagger, who makes a cameo in the pilot. A great snag, but Logue is the real star. And so far, he mostly approves. ''It's not like we feel like we tried to do something interesting but it got compromised down to Huckleberry Horses---. It feels like it could be really good,'' Logue says. ''It's still a little cleaner than it could be — it could be a little funkier.''

Bottom Line Could it be funkier? Maybe. Does it need a better title? Absolutely. But based on the pilot's surprising dialogue, inventive details, and underlying sweetness, Knights is shaping up to be the best new comedy of the year.
