When we last left Hugh Laurie's House, he was asking for a new treatment that might reduce his physical and, who knows, maybe psychic pain. Well, says exec producer Katie Jacobs, ''the question that we worked up to last season was, Some people are defined by their illness, and who would House be'' if his was cured? Jacobs also adds that this plays out with the doctor's relationships: ''If Cameron's [Jennifer Morrison] attraction to House is the fact that he is a wounded puppy...'' ''...what happens when he's not wounded?'' says exec producer David Shore, finishing her sentence. Our House, a very, very, very fine House? Don't bet on it.
