Concept Dr. Hoffman (Ted Danson) is a group therapist but he's nutty too!
The Scoop Danson, assures exec producer Jenny Konner, ''can find the funny in any line you have. Like, his walk is from a comedy point of view.'' The supporting cast includes Jere Burns, a vet of that other group-therapy comedy Dear John. Malcolm in the Middle's Jane Kaczmarek plays Hoffman's soon-to-be ex-wife but the main attraction is Danson, who finds himself breaking in a new breed of young writers. ''These are my children's peers, almost,'' says the 58-year-old actor. ''Now I'm working with that generation, and I really like that.''
Bottom Line Never underestimate charming Danson, who deserves to be remembered for funnier things than Becker.
