Director's-cut DVDs: Which are the best?

''Extended Cut'' or ''Director's Cut'' DVDs seem to come out every week. What is the best extended/director's cut you've seen? — Gabe Villani

You're right that there's a profusion of them, Gabe. Just to pick among recent or upcoming ones, certainly the current Apocalypse Now: The Complete Dossier, with its 1979 and 2001 versions, is a valuable look at a filmmaker's intentions and what actually made it into the theaters.
